One resident from Malinao, Aklan amused netizens after sharing photos of himself online last Jan. 20, wearing a white t-shirt with his vaccination card printed on the front while his vaccination certificate plastered on the back, as proof that he is fully jabbed.
The Aklanon citizen named Silver Cordero, 34, decided to print his vaccination card and vaccination certificate on a t-shirt due to the implementation of “no vax, no entry policy” of establishments in the province.
With the country’s economy slowly reopening following the lockdowns, bringing vaccination cards and certificates have become mandatory for individuals when entering offices, malls, banks, and other institutions.
In an interview with Bombo Radyo Kalibo, Cordero bared he was able to enter establishments while wearing the shirt which helped him as an online seller who faces difficulties in taking out the needed documents during transactions and deliveries.
Furthermore, Cordero expressed his delight for being able to spread positivity in social media amidst the continuing surge of COVID-19 in the country.
Among the establishments in the province that implemented the “no vaccination card, no entry” policy for all office transactions were Aklan Electric Cooperative (AKELCO) and Metro Kalibo Water District (MKWD).
This is in accordance with the Executive Order No. 003, s. 2022 issued by the provincial governor on Jan. 16, an order strictly implementing Resolution No. 148-B, s. 2021 issued by the National Interagency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) in Aklan.
