'LET'S MAKE AKLAN PINK, ONE ARTWORK AT A TIME'

 by Yelah Israel

Flaunting rich shades of pink and blue, a mural depicting presidential candidate Leni Robredo hangs on a wall that stands in Martelino Street of Poblacion, Kalibo, Aklan.

Arranged by Youth for Leni-Kiko Aklan, young artists volunteered to gather together and create the artistic spectacle in line with Robredo's campaign and that of her running mate, Kiko Pangilinan.

The project took place in the span of 2 weekends, while the materials used, such as paint and brushes, were funded by several other supporters.

“We made this mural to show our support for VP Leni’s candidacy. From having a clean track record and accomplishments, we believe that she is the leader our country needs.” volunteer artist Gelo Zarsuelo said in an interview with Explained PH – Aklan.

Moreover, Youth for Leni-Kiko AKLAN organization said in their Facebook post on Tuesday that the dedication and perseverance of volunteer artists with the support of their sponsors have blessed them once again with a project dedicated to manifest their aspirations for Leni-Kiko movement in the province.
