A 25-year-old cop that was “caught in the act” of adultery with a teacher has been relieved of his duties as a policeman, Aklan Police Provincial Office (APPO) Provincial Director PCol. Ramir Perlito Perlas confirmed in an interview with Radyo Todo last Tuesday.

According to PCol. Perlas, the policeman is now assigned to the holding facility of APPO while they are waiting for orders from the Police Regional Office VI with his gun and ID confiscated.

The case will be referred to the Regional Internal Affairs Service (RIAS), and a summary hearing will be in place after the Regional Director endorses the case. This will give the policeman a chance to reveal his reasons for engaging in an adulterous relationship with the 32-year-old teacher.

PCol. Perlas also stated that the cop carried out Grave Misconduct after the latter was charged under the Revised Penal Code.

To recall, the 35-year-old OFW husband planned to surprise his wife but he was the one surprised when he caught the two in a boarding house in Laserna, Kalibo last October 4.
