With the summer air slowly setting in, it would be a perfect time for a nice getaway, and this restaurant might be added to your bucket list of places to dine in. Kanyugan Restaurant by Panimalai located at Ibajay, Aklan puts an alfresco twist to a once humble coconut tree field.

Kanyugan serves an array of dishes and drinks, from silog meals for breakfast, various merienda combos such as: spaghetti with chicken fillet and lemonade, batchoy and garlic bread, different platters with various dishes, and yema cake for dessert that is good for 4-6 people, as well as a bunch of side orders like sisig, liempo, and calamares. Drinks in the likes of pitchers of lemonade, iced tea, or even shakes in different flavours are available to quench your thirst. They also accept bulk orders of spaghetti, pancit, or palabok for your next get-together. They also serve tray bundles that can be customised, serving up to 8-15 people. Kanyugan also recently came out with a burger and fries meal called "Burger Mania" that is definitely a must-try.

The restaurant also has a bar with hired singers to help you chill with tunes, while you grab a drink and hang with your friends on a Friday night out. They serve a wide assortment of drinks that you might want to taste.

Kanyugan Restaurant started when the owners of Panimalai went out for a jog and found an area nice enough to start a new branch. Thus, Kanyugan Restaurant, a name which derives from the word "kaniyugan" that means an abundance  of coconut trees, was born. This is the third branch of Panimalai in Aklan.

None of the coconut trees around the area were taken down, as the buildings were built around them. The restaurant alo has various huts or "kubo" that are all named after the parts of a coconut tree, namely: Pak-eang, Li-asy, Butay, Sikap, Bukoe, Niyog and two pergulas, Pergula 1 and Pergula Rose.

Kanyugan Restaurant is open to serve customers from 8 AM to 9 PM and is located at Sitio Malabon, Ibajay, Aklan.
