PAGASA Releases General Flood Advisory in Western Visayas

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has issued a general flood advisory for Western Visayas on Dec. 14, Tuesday.

Light to occasionally moderate rains and thunderstorms may affect rivers and tributaries of Aklan province, particularly Ibajay, Aklan, and Jalo.

The agency advised the local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils concerned to take necessary precautionary measures as well as those residing near the mountain slopes and in the low lying areas of the river systems.

The general flood warning was issued at 6 a.m. and is valid until the following issuance at 6 p.m. today.
