'AKEANON MUSICIANS ARE BACK ON STAGE'

Revitalizing the music culture of Aklan through Akeanons’ shared passion for music, the local government unit introduces Pagdumdom ag Pagpadungog sa mga Musikerong Akeanon, an event showcasing musical talents of Akeanons and Kalibonhons, to be held on Nov. 3–11, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m at the CityMall Kalibo activity area.

The event is headed by Kalibo Mayor Emerson Sucgang Lachica, in partnership with CityMall Kalibo, Akeanon and Kalibonhon musicians.

Featured performers include 3-piece rock band Coffee Drama, indie band Art Of Dedma, Gold Gilded RuN, What Happened To Midnight, New Jerusalem Chorale, Alter Ego, Scratch Paper, RapMetal Ever Loft, Sundae, No Name, Yesterday, Solskin, and Unending Stories.

Also joining the roster of both aspiring and legend Akeanon artists are CK Renacido, Yari, Yul Resico, Peamer Sta. Maria, Ivan Charles Nacnac, Janet Anne Quimpo, Nicole Laurenio, Sid Morales & Rogen & Jay Calogne, Nino Pague, Mikhail Sitjar Reyes, Mary Pioquid, and Chutz & Godo.

Performances from Popoy & Lent, Ian & Claude, Jade Duran, Bugsy & Rj, Joshua, Dionex & Jaylord, The Duo, Mark Lester, Aila Imperial, and Judiel & Yhen are also eyed.

The event is a part of the celebration of Kalibo’s 450th founding anniversary.

The capital town’s foundation day is annually commemorated on November 3 to mark its founding year as a significant milestone, honoring the forefathers and revisiting their stories and principles that shaped the town’s establishment.
